Notice of Proposed Property Tax Increase for Peotone Community Unit School District 207U
I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for Peotone Community Unit School District 207U for 2024 will be held on December 16, 2024 at 6:00 pm at Peotone High School 605 West North Street, Peotone, Illinois 60468.

II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2023 were $14,112,735.35.
The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2024 are $14,976,566.00. This represents a 6.12% increase over the previous year.
III. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2023 were $1,998,842.82
The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2024 are $1,998,233.00. This represents a 00.03% decrease over the previous year.
IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2023 were $16,111,578.17.
The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2024 are $16,974,799.00. This represents a 5.36% increase over the previous year.
