Dear Parent, Guardian, or Staff Member, Illinois law (Lawn Care Products Application and Notification Act) requires all school districts to notify students and staff when lawn care chemicals are being used in or around school facilities. Please be aware that weed control and fertilization of the lawns/hardscape areas at all District 207U schools will take place on the following days: July 6 and 7, 2023. We are committed to minimizing the use of chemicals for weed control and lawn care, but at times, it is necessary to properly maintain the facility.

Congratulations to our first ever Peotone Blue Devils Track and Field Special Olympics athletes who attended the State competition this past weekend. Team members Ben Feldmeier and Charlie Tucker competed at Illinois State University June 9-10. Coaches Terina Taylor and Holly Jensen helped the boys bring home some hardware! Charlie earned a GOLD medal in the softball throw, and a Silver medal in the 100 meter run. Ben Feldmeier brought home a bronze medal in the softball throw! Well done Peotone! We are proud of you!

Beginning Monday, June 5th, Peotone CUSD 207U will implement its Summer Office Hours. Summer Hours will be 7:30AM-3:00PM (M-F), and this schedule will run through Friday, August 11th.
As we wrap up another school year with our teachers and paraprofessionals, the Peotone Early Education Program would like to wish Congratulations to Mrs. Christiansen on her retirement from the program. Mrs. Christiansen has served as a paraprofessional at PEEP for 20 years and has been a huge asset to the program during her time. Although we will greatly miss her, we wish her a HAPPY AND HEALTHY RETIREMENT! Thank you, Mrs. Christiansen!

Congratulations to Powerhouse on their 3rd runner up finish at the El-Paso Gridley Showdown last weekend! We also had strong performances in the solo competition by Eris Lanclos and Travis Bush.
eSports club will meet today after school in the Commons to play Super Smash Brothers and MarioKart. All students are welcome. Bring a friend!
